I'm trying to get together the components to get the heater on the nova to work.

The previous owner appeared to have cut the lines where they go into the heater box. I tried turning the fan switch on to see if the fan would spin but no luck there either, and most of the levers on the heater controls are broke off other than the fan control.

any idea where to start since the fan did not spin.

pics of the previous owners mods below :(

Before you worry about a spinning fan I think you may not have a heater core to provide heat. There should be two metal necks sticking into the engine compartment from the heater core that the hoses attach to. I dont see them in your pictures, do you see them?

That is what I think should be poking out through those 2 holes on the heater cover. I feel like maybe the best solution would be to just go all new and get one of those in dash heat/ac systems. and shave the firewall, but it looks like they are only for 68-72

It looks to me that some idiot cut the pipes off the old heater core. You're going to have to remove the dash (probably) and get a new one along with a fan motor and install them. Is there even a switch for a fan on the dash board?
