Door lock problem

When I stop my car and before I put it in park, my passengers sometimes try to open the door. Then I put car in park and they cannot open it. The lock just stays locked no matter what I do...any suggestions?

Not sure what year you are talking about but dont you have a master unlock button?

Tell your passengers to quit doing that. Or slap the crap out of them.
