I just bought a 2010 Avalanche LTZ after owning a 2008 LTZ. Many of my concerns/questions have been pleasantly addressed and the mileage brought a big GRIN to my face. The seat back i more positioned for my comfort and I"m gonna do more reading tonight. Now a big question is...the suspension.

The ride in the two vehicles does not seem to be the same. One thing I truely loved about my 2008 was the luxurious ride. The 2010 seems more stiff and doesn't soak up the bumps as well. This was a big concern of mine and I even asked about it and researched it before purchase...did Chevy change and suspension components on the different model years. I personally did not find anything to make me think they had and I asked separate dealers.

It could be air in the tires, it could be the different seats, it could be because it is new and tight.. Are their different levels of Springs?? (how could I find out what I have??) I did not have it in the trailer haul mode. Does anyone know for sure whether or not the components are exactly the same? I just want to make sure Chevy did not CHEAP OUT on the newer model. The ride isn't bad, just different and I would like to know... Thanks for any input.

I just drove it 500 miles home so I got a good assessment of the ride.

Cheers,
Gene

Gene,
If you can provide me with both of the VIN's I can tell you if they have the same suspension. I apologize for the delay.
