Alright well a month or so back me and my friend cleaned the O2 sensors in my 2000 silverado with a 4.8 liter extended cab 4 speed auto. Now after doing this we cleared the codes and went out driving. We went a total of 50 miles and we used 2 gallons of gas!!!!!!!!! Well we got back and put the code scanner on again and 1 O2 sensor was still bad. Well we took all of them out and did it again. Well after this things went downhill. When we were pulling outta his driveway the engine bogged right down to like 100-200 rpm. It wasnt running good at all. When we got on the road it worked better. I knew the O2 sensors were to blame so i pulled the plug on all of them. (would it be sad if when i pulled them i got better mpg then when they were in and b4 i cleaned them?) Anywho since then i got new sensors and put them in. Right now i am averaging 14-17 mpg. Am i missing something here? Does the Ecm have to relearn everything now that working ones are in there?
