...& Trans slipping? My wife took my truck to town and called me saying it was dead on the side of the road. When I got there the battery was completely dead. I replaced the alternator and started it up, and noticed a slight "ticking" in the engine. Drove it down the road and the Automatic Transmission would'nt go into 3rd gear after bout 25mph(engine just reved up and Tranny slightly squealed). Drove back home and Truck was knocking like crazy, lost most of my oil pressure, and it would'nt hardly idle. Checked my oil..It was full and looked clean. Started it back up and it idled fine, and I had oil pressure again... I don't get it! Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else.
