Would you rather own a 90's Viper or new Corvette?

I was recently checking the market on used Vipers and was surprised to find that you can purchase a first gen Viper with low miles for around $30,000. I don't get why so many people buy new Corvettes for 50k when you can buy a used Viper for 30K! C6 and C5 Vettes are so common nowadays and hardly raise an eyebrow, but any Viper turns heads wherever it goes!
