Would a 76 Corvette Stingray with modern overhaul look good?

I was thinking of buying an old 76 Stingray and restoring it when an idea came to mind. Instead of restoring it to historic condition, why not restore it with modern style in mind?

White/Red/Yellow/Orange exterior w/ Black Trim/Decals
Black interior with outside exterior color trim

-Leather/synthetic racing wheel, seats and shifter
-New carpeting
-Digital dashboard and radio (red/orange)
-Have headlights remade to look sharper and longer
-Brushed aluminum pedals
-Modern 180-350 hp engine (for both fuel economy and power improvements)

I'd keep the exterior stuff classic though, can't mess with beauty.

Any thoughts?

YES... but please DON'T put the too-tall wheels and low-profile tires on it!

Those things are hideous!


A muscle car only looks good with tires that have some sidewalls!
