I have an issue with my windshield wiper fluid pump on 09 Silverado. It never stops running… When this started, the digital display began saying the hood was open, even though it isn’t. I’ve had 3 mechanics look at it and the only thing they are at a consensus on is that it’s a wiring or ground issue. Need to get it fixed because it has caused the check engine light to come on and I can’t renew the registration. Any ideas?

The check engine light does not come on because of the wiper pump or hood latch.
Did you have the check engine light scanned for codes?
The hood latch sensor is part of the latch so not sure how much time the mechanic spent on the problem.
A constantly running pump is not a ground issue.
Were any of the mechanics ASE certified?
Sounds like you need to take the vehicle to a Chevy dealer.
