I just bought an 85 vette, the owner told me it was had a blown head gasket (it did). Took the heads off and two huge cracks in the block, its junk. the block was a 350 bored 60 over. the heads seem to be okay, just had them resurfaced.

I already have a rebuilt 73 chevy 400 motor with dart2 heads. i know you can put 305 heads on a 350, so My question is could the vette 350 heads fit on the 400? i REALLY want to keep the tpi system.

It won't work without modding the heads. The 400 uses siamesed bores and have steam holes, which your 350 heads will not have. Also, I don't know what year they switched, I think 87, but if your engine uses a roller cam, it will not work in the 400 block without some mods and aftermarket lifters and retainers. If it were me, I would find a newer engine that had more power, like a 96-98, use your intake and sensors, throw a good cam in it as long as it was out, and then find the chip or have your computer programmed to run that setup. If you do it right, it will look stock, get better mileage, and have close to twice the power.
