Will a Corvette LT1 engine fit in a 1978 Trans Am?

I have a 1978 Trans am and i wanted to replace the 400 engine with a new corvette LT1 engine.

Motor will fit,not sure about ecm problems.Couldn't find anything on web and have never done that particular swap so suggest you contact local trans am/corvette car club for help.You may even get help from a local vette rebuilder shop.I've had to do that in the past and worked out for me.Lots of info from people who have been there.Lt1 350 should pose no problem in your Trans am.

If your TA was avaikable with a 350 it should drop right in, but the trans fit up may be hard.
