I've been adjusting the valve lash on the engine as prescribed in the auto manual but seems as of late I lost compression except on #3 and #7 plug holes.
I had to adjust the valves due to putting on different heads. The car ran decent afterwards for a few days. I was then told that I needed to adjust the valves a certain way. After an engine builder came over to adjust them, the car didn't run as strong as I had it by just tightening the valves down. I've been trying to adjust them to get the power back. This has just recently (last night) happened with no compression thing.
The problem was too tight. I backed all the nutz off and went over it again. My brother has some valve covers with cutouts that I'll borrow now to adjust properly. Glad I didn't have to go to that last one and do a total rebuild....engine was just rebuilt a few years ago....ran strong up till adjusting the valves.
