...the engine in Idle? My 2006 Cobalt acts like it wants to quit when I am stopped at a light or a stop sign or when I apply the breaks. The RPMs go up and down while I am stopped. Could this be a fuel filter issue?

If it does it just once it's normal. If it continually does it whlie sitting there the computer system is "hunting" for the correct idle. If you don't have a Check Engine/Service Engine Soon light then change to a quality grade of gasoline. Shell V-Power and Sunoco Ultra 94 are the best.
