I look at suburbans in the 1999 - 2004 range , seems Yukons XL s are cheaper in Awd looks the same as suburbans with more interior Bling Schtuff .
I think it's a similar rig ( frame /drive line ) .

not sure what exactly you are looking at but Edmunds.com has the XL going for about $500 more. Without having all the particulars on the specific vehicle hard to answer why one or the other would be more.

Suburban is base model, Yukon is mid, and the Escalade ESV is top of the line. The Yukon and Suburban are mostly identical. Only difference is the Yukon has more "blings" IIRC, the Yukon has a 6.0 V8 instead of the 5.3 in the subbies, leather and captains chairs are what the yukons sold with.

So the only real way to find out why the yukon(s) are selling for less than the suburbans is asking the seller.

I noticed the same thing when I was looking for a used vehicle.. the GMCs were cheaper all around. And as far as them being more loaded than the suburbans, that's not necessarily true... I just picked up a LTZ suburban that has every option known to man.. AC seats, dual DVDs, power front and rear seats, rear heated seats, auto wipers, moon roof, air ride, black leather, etc.. etc.. And I looked at a few escalades and yukons that did not have half those options. So I'm thinking it's a difference in certain packages that they came with.

GMC rigs with AWD / higher miles soak longer . Like suburbans 2500 4X4 get 40 - 50 days plus on car lots . Maybe asking too much Non flood or snow cars .

Well I finally bought a 2002 suburban , the dealer told me the loaded high end versions are hard to find with lows miles . The two wheel drive ,cloth seats , LS versions can be found at lower total miles . GMC rigs do list at lower prices .

good luck with your new vehicle
