Silverado? I bought this truck used, and it has an aftermarket alarm in it. Everything is hooked up except for one thing: It's a brown/white wire that grounds when the alarm is to be activated. It is designed to hook up to say a door ajar switch to make the computer think that the door has been opened, therefore sounding the factory alarm.
On my 2004 Silverado, that already has factory locks, the factory alarm, and factory keyless entry.. where could I find a wire that will do that? I'm looking for a Door Ajar switch, but am being told that it's apart of the door lock actuator... What color wire, and where should I be looking for it?
