I just bought a new 2010 Cobalt SS and once I was done with all the paper work, they finally decided to tell me I could not drive it off the lot. I know it has to do with the power steering going out. I talked to someone in their service department and they said it was no big deal. Does anyone know when the parts will arrive at dealers so I can drive my car? I really don't want to start paying for a car I don't have.
I have talked to them about it, but they changed their story about if I could take the car. They said I could take the car, then the part was in and they would put it in as I waited, then it wasn't in and they would call me when the part was in, and then finally they gave me a stripped down Malibu to drive until they fix my car. They say the part will be in March 19, but they had me sign a form saying I can drive the car until March 31. Does anyone know of a date the power steering recall part will be in dealerships?
