The 4.5 litre diesel which was to go in the Suburban or anywhere the small block gas engine fits will not go ahead. (even though the engine was through development and ready for production) Another brilliant move by GM. So that means no diesel Suburban in 2010. Just like what brought GM to this point, they absolutely refuse to take any leadership in anything, instead they will play catch up once the imports flood the market with their diesels.
