Since our 2003 Suburban is having slight tranny issues, we are thinking of selling it and buying another sub since they are so reliable.
From my findings, the 1992-1994, 2002, 2003, 2006, and 2009 and up are the best ones right now. Mostly leaning toward another 2003, or 2006, maybe a 2009/2010 if the price is just right.
any input?

I don't know why you're starting at '92.. I've got a '91 and love it. 183K and still going very strong. Love it!

It's a very subjective question and difficult to answer. I'm sure there are other members who would say their vintage is reliable too. or they might just say some of those years are a POS because of personal experience.
If it were me, I'd buy the newest one I could afford.

If you're not willing to rebuild the tranny on your 2003, than I agree that you should buy the newest you can afford.

Sorry to bump an old thread. Thanks to all who replied. I think What we would end up going with is a 2006-2009, maybe even another high miles 03 if the tranny has been replaced. Apparently that is a weakness in that model.
The tranny is still holding up fine, it has slipped 3 times, hasn't done it in a while...

Have you tried replacing the transmission filter?
