What size v8 engine could i put in my 1968 chevy nova with good power but also...

...decent gas mileage? Just need to know how big i could get for a v8 in my nova without completely comprimising gas mileage. I know a 350 would be pushing it

A fuel injected 350 would get pretty good gas mileage, otherwise a 305. An 80's or early 90's 350 TPI would be a good choice. A 350 will also be much better for the resale value of the car. There are many 350's that get well over 20mpg on the highway, especially if you swap in an overdrive trans.

A 350 doesn't equal poor gas mileage.
