What should I do to preserve my 2006 Chevy Silverado for a year?

I will be unable to drive for a year and am wondering what I should do to make sure my Silverado will still be in top shape in a year. I am going to buy a truck cover to keep it out of the weather, but is there anything I should be doing with the engine such as draining fluids, etc. Thanks in advance.

Lube ,oil and filter.Then ask a friend to take it around the block once a week/month.An open box of kitty litter on the floor will keep odors away and reduce moisture/mold.The best solution would be to get it into heated storage and place it up on four blocks.
