What makes a vehicle jump ahead even with your foot on the brake? This is a 98'

Chevy Silverado 4x4.? While sitting at the window with my foot on the brake at McDonalds' my truck lunged forward and I hit a woman in the rear of her car. This has happened only once before and mechanics cannot find out why. If anyone has a clue please let me know.
