1999 Chevy Corvette Delco Mongoose Ed. 24Hr. Rolex 525SS

I've never heard of one until I found one for sale locally he wants 13k for it but it has some front end damage that's repairable and the car runs and drives. I was just wondering why the car is so special. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Picture of this Corvette?

Do the seats have any special stitching?

Is it a Corvette with a Rim job and Bodykit? Decals? Tints? Wing? It could have had custom stuff added...

Was it Supercharged by Lingenfelter? Guldstrand? Someone Else?

Unless it is demonstrably a Performance or Tuned or Luxurized Vette somehow, he is making it up.

There are tuners for Corvettes. It is like the Chanel edition BMW... more or less exaggerations, but some have had complete interiors custom installed. (I have seen people adding leather to their car by removing the soor panels and putting in ALL trim... pretty wild, its Autobody technique.)

The 1999 Corvette was alright, but one of the years where I would say 'There is nothing special about this one, its just OK. (1997-2005 = OK C5 Corvettes, they can get fast they are just chintzy and I like them, but C4 and C6 more... would buy one, oh year i would, just not yellow or red.)

BTW... $13,000 for a repairable CORVETTE sounds like it is within reason.

Offer him $10,000 and let him know your skepticism about the special model. Make him show you. Then haggle on price.

i think the (Delco Mongoose Ed. 24Hr. Rolex 525SS) is BS in 1999 chevrolet only made a hard top a coupe and a convertible all just a corvette
 
from what i know delco mongoose sells performance packages. i cant see the engine so i cant tell you if it actually has any work done to it, but it jst looks like a zo6 with a ugly paint job. as for the 24 hour rolex part. thats the 24 hour race they hold in daytona, fl. hope this helps
