Specs:
2004 Chevy Avalanche z71 WITHOUT body cladding
I was hit by a vehicle in a parking lot, and the damaged area is comprised primarily of denting and scratching. However, there is a portion that has flaked off and appears to be fiber glass. I was just wondering if this was a normal component of an outer body shell for these models or if there has been some previous damage to this location. I was under the impression that these vehicles would be comprised of a metallic or similar composite, however this resembles a ceramic material.
