What is the difference between outside door handles for a 2002 and 2004...

...Chevrolet Silverado? I am looking to replace my door handles for my 2002 Silverado with a new OEM painted set. I noticed that there are different models that fit different years, 1999-2003 and 2004-2007. What are the differences and why will they not work?

It is not that they will not work. but then if you have to fix it up. you will have to completely change the lock. or else check with the mechanic. if he can arrange you a 2002 door lock it self.
