what is the best year in chevy to buy an Avalanche or truck?

Im not to picky on what it looks like just as long as it runs for a good while. What are the best years to buy a chevy truck? I mostly prefer an Avalanche, but with every kind of car/truck there are flaws. Would you request an avalanche? If you own one are they good or are they more worse then other trucks? i will be pulling horse trailers and trailers and loading my dirt bike in the back. I kinda prefer a big cab, but all i MOSTLY need is the year where there are more fewer break downs. Yes there will be times it might break down, but thats a vehicle thing.
Any other advice on trucks please id like to hear it.

2005 up but remember the bed is short so you wont have much room to haul things in the back.
