what corvette is better?

I really want to get a corvette this summer but im not sure which would be better. 2002-2005 Z06 or just the basic corvette 2005+. I love the looks of the 2005+ but wasn't sure if the handling would be better in the earlier Z06. Im looking for performance more than the looks of the car.

I have a 1973 corvette (white) with 73,000 miles that handles wonderfully and is fast, for sale $12,000. 1 set white t-tops, 1 set smoky window t-tops, ps/pb/pw/air conditioning. I'll give it to you if you give me the money!!!

The Z06 has lots more performance goodies than the standard Vette.

The Z06 will out perform the standard Vette.

But one thing you may want to ask yourself. How often would I be pushing this Vette to it's limit? How often do you intend to drive it at speeds approaching 200 MPH or will be taking 1G+ corners?

If the answer is seldom or never to either question, you should be fine with the standard Vette.
