What Car would win? and also how fast can a Corvette ZR1 go?

so me and my friend have been debating and i think that what he told me is total BULLSHIaT!
i told him that a NISSAN SKYLINE GTR R34 V-SPEC NUR
could beat the new CHEVORLOT CORVETTE ZR1
and i told him that the top speed thats been recorded from the skyline is 256 mph
and he said something so stupid ! i dont believe him but then again i dont know everything about the car just wanting to make sure, he said that it could go 296 mph without SUPERCHARGEr? and im like WTF ? the buggati veyron the fastest car ever cant even go that fast it can go 280? so plz give me a reliable website so i can shove it in his face ! if it can i must say im impressed

AWD vs RWD? Yeah, that's comparable.

Whoever started the debate between the two cars, needs to be shot for stupidity. Whoever followed up the debate should be slapped for participating.

Is top speed really the only thing that you measure things by?
Stupidest comparison ever.
Try handling. Try braking/turning/etc. Sprinting. Endurance. You know, the various things that actually test the capability of a car.
Top speed is totally pointless. That's like saying you can drink 50 beers at one time.
Awesome. Great. So what? Can you do anything else? No? Fail.
Also, the Veyron is not the fastest car ever. Go look up the land speed record. The Veyron is about 400 miles per hour too slow.
