OK, so I had a lot of weird electrical problems with my car this morning. It wouldn't start, but lights would turn on. The key got stuck in the ignition and I couldn't even move the shifter thingy from park to neutral so I could move the car to get jumped by my cousin (the car was park next to a curb on the side where the battery was). We eventually got the car jumped by using the battery in the trunk that we were told was for the sub-woofers and other battery-sucking things.
Got the car started and left it running to recharge in case it was the battery, when I noticed a dashboard warning light. It was yellow, and had a picture of a little car with a lock next to it. I checked for anything obvious like an open door or trunk or hood, but everything was shut and locked tight!!
My owners manual got stolen out of my car about a year ago so I can't look this up!! If anyone has any info PLEASE help!!
Car info:
2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LTZ
About 52,000 miles (give or take a few hundred)
Automatic transmission
JUST had the power steering problem fixed that the cobalt got recalled for about a week and a half ago...
The battery was never actually disconnected for any reason.
The key was no longer stuck in the ignition and it gave me that light...
