I have a 2007 Suburban LS I am the original owner the truck has over 240K on it. No problems ever with the engine until now.

I had the valve cover gaskets changed. 1st time since I owned the vehicle. I live about 80 miles away from my mechanic....It drove fine on the way home as I pull off the freeway close to my house the oil pressure lights come on and the trucks warning lights all come on...I pull over shut off the engine....pop the hood and it all looks fine....crack back up the engine and it ran just fine again. Later that night my wife drives the car and calls me....saying the same thing just happened to her.

But when she get it back home...it making a knocking sound like something is hitting the value covers.....almost a clicking sound...but it is loud I mean I could her her coming from 5 houses away.

Has this happened to anyone before....I am hoping I did not damage the engine.

The first thing you should have done is call the mechanic that did the work.
Did you check the oil level in the engine?
Any time you hear a knocking sound you should stop driving the car until you find the cause.
