So I decided to replace my old Edelbrock carb in favor of a 4150-HP dual line double pump Holley. What I didn't realize is that the Holley dosen't have any vacuum ports. All I have is a three port fitting out the back of my Weiand intake. I need a brake booster, transmission, distributor and PVC with vacuum. My brakes do not feel very strong since the switch and I don't believe the vacuum advance is working good either. I'm not even sure I can run all these off this 1 port. Is the PVC even required? Seems like I've seen one that just pushes in without having to have a vacuum line attached?

What list number Holley did you install? The transmission and distributor can be "T" off the same line. The brakes not feeling the same probably has to do with the carburetor adjustment not the fitting set up. How many inches of vacuum do you have at idle? What is your idle speed in gear? Did you ajust the secondary throttle stop on the Holley before installing it?

80541-1. I have the Distributor t'd off the PCV, I'll change that tomorrow. Call me stupid but I kinda thought the carb would be plug and play. I don't have the equip to check vacuum and I didn't adjust anything for fear of messing things up. The car idles at 1,000 in gear which is a bit high but I did that to keep it running. I think I better find me a local carb guy and spend the money.

Did you read what this carburetor is intended for?

Those engines dont use PCV, dont use automatics, dont use vacuum tyoe distributors, etc. Sell it and buy one suitable for a street driven vehicle.
