Used 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5i or New 2010 Chevy Cobalt?

Personally I'm a huge Subaru lover and I want to get the Legacy but my dad thinks I should go for the Cobalt. The Legacy is used (62,000 miles) in excellent condition and runs great. The Cobalt is completely new. I don't really know how I feel about Chevy but I need some input.
 
In my opinion your better off with the new chevy cobalt unless you think about getting a subaru WRX or STi
