Unknown filter on a Jeep Wrangler with Corvette engine? Any Jeep/ Corvette...

...enthusiasts, I need help...? I recently bought a 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a '89 Corvette ls1 engine and I'm wondering what this red filter is. I was cleaning the K&N air filter so thats why its not on in the pics. Thanks to anyone that helps me out
