Is there anything that can be done for a transmission that was drained and now whines really bad?

The stick was reading way way high. So it was dropped and drained. And upon adding roughly 5 quarts it’s still reading way high.

Are you reading the transmission level on a fully warmed up vehicle with the engine running?

Yes. Fully warmed. I’ve checked it several several times. After 15 mins of running to over an hour. Still reads above the s curve on stick

Why did you add 5 quarts?
If you are adding transmission fluid after dropping the pan you dont dump it all back in at once.
You add 1 quart less than you think you need, warm up the vehicle to operating temperature by letting it idle, place the transmission in each gear, check the fluid level and add if necessary to bring it up halfway between add and full.

I guess they dont seem to know how to correctly do this.
You refer to the S curve, what about the add and full mark?
Where is the fluid level with respect to the full mark?

it is above the full mark.

It is still over filled and the fluid will aerate.
