I have a 07 chevy 2500 hd, at approx 8 hours engine run time the check engine light came on and i lost drive in the transmission, i also noticed a rattling sound coming from the 4x4 shifter. after pulling over and placing vehicle in park then drive again, drive was restored to the transmission and the vehicle ran as normal, but the light was still on, i finished rest of the trip, approx 80 miles. I parked it overnight and this morning when i went to move it when i drove down off of the driveway bump the drive disengaged again, this time there was a readout that said transmission shift impaired, i put it in neutral and pushed it to a safe place, there i shifted it into 4x4 and back, went through all the gear selections and then put it in park and the drive again, it went into gear and i was able to move it to a place to store it, during transit it would lose drive all of a sudden, and then bump back into gear, with a literal bump. Anyone know whats up with this? I dont have the money to take it in right now so im trying to find out what i can
