tortion bars on 2000 chevy silverado 1500 short bed with 5.3L?

my buddy owns a 2000 chevy silverado and we turned the tortion bars clear up but the where already most of the way up from the factory because it 4wd. it gave us about another inch and i was wondering if you can turn the tortion bar keys upside down to put the arm on the bottom of the round instead of on top so that we can get more out of it. now dont go telling me about how much you can do because i already know and it still has room to go up more and yes i know about alignments and all of that stuff. so just answer my question, not tell me what would happen if it was done.
