Timing Chain

Hello everyone my name is Rock and I'm new to the site. Looking for help on a 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ 5.3. While passing another vehicle the truck shut down. Not sure if this is timing or something else. Any advice would be helpful.

1. Does the engine turn over or your have no sounds when you turn the key.
2. If the engine does turn over have you checked fuel pressure?
3. If the engine does turn over have you checked for spark at the plugs?
4. If the engine doesnt turn over have you checked the battery voltage with a voltmeter?

the engine won't turnover, could this be a cam shaft and lifters problem?

that sounds like a dead battery if the engine wont turn over. Have you checked the battery voltage?
