Where is the tensioner on a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban K1500? The belt came off (didn't break), and I got it threaded around the gears per diagram under hood but I just need to tighten it now...
UPDATE: Well it appears that the tensioner itself had broken off, hence why I couldn't find it. I guess that also explains how the belt came off... Thanks for the info tho.

I always just use my jack handle to apply tension. Stick the jack handle or metal bar under the tension pulley and apply tension. Then you'll have to tighten the tension pulley while applying tension. It's frustrating and you have to tighten it fast but it's pretty simple.
