...5.7 w/206,000 miles. Is it worth it? I just purchased a 1992 Chevy K1500 Silverado with the 5.7 V8. It has 206,000 miles on it but it runs great! Smooth, quiet, transmission is strong and smooth as well. The only thing that is really an issue is it's leaking a very small amount of oil from the cooling lines, it's very minimal.

I love the truck but I'd like a little more power and throttle response as well as a bit of growl. I'm not looking to race it or beat it up, but just to add a little bit under the hood to spice up the drive.

Is it worth putting a little money into a truck with such high miles? Any recommendations would be appreciated. This is my first truck and first domestic. I have an Accord and a Odyssey, so a truck is a nice change!

Thanks!
