I bought a theft recovery 2009 corvette z06 yesterday. The car was in the process of getting parts stripped from it when it was discovered by the cops. They took the complete engine, wheels, speakers, steering wheel, hood, and seats.. Now i'm thinking i can have a car that looks just like a z06 just without having a true z06.. I'm thinking i can go down to my local junkyard and get a engine from a silverado preferably with the 4.8l swap it right in and finish the rest of the car off and i could be driving a z06 around and no one know the difference unless i tried to race it which i wouldn't. What are some opinions on this?
