I own a 99 Silverado pickup, we had a 2000 suburban and now we have a 2003 suburban. Each one of these vehicles has had a thump in the steering wheel when driving at lower speeds. Every little bump we go across it could be heard. Its a low thump. I took the pickup and the 2000 burb into the dealer to get it fixed. My 03 I haven't.
Can anyone tell me what causes this. Is it something that one can do on their own? I remember the dealer telling me it was some sort of housing somewhere that needed to get greased. (I might be wrong though)
I don't think it's a safety hazard but it is REALLY annoying.
Thanks in advance
