TH350- Is this strange?

I noticed for the first time today that the TH350 I put in my project car will allow me to move the car both forwards and backwards in any gear with the engine off. Park locks it all down as expected. The driveshaft is connected. This doesn't seem right, but when I think about it, I never tried to move the car around before like this.

Let me know if I have a screwed up transmission or if I just learned something new.
