Hi Folks,
I found a great site thanks to VanGo that deals with T.B.I. Upgrades. It's called CFM Technologies. This looks like something I'm gonna try on my new Suburban (5.7).

Have any of you guys used their products. Heck, I just recently learned what a T.B.I. is, and I'm excited! Are these puppies pretty much a bolt on upgrade?

I'd love to hear from anyone about this, or any other performance upgrades for my new 4X4 Workhorse.

Bob

Anything that works for a Chevy SB will work on your vehicle. You just have to remember you are looking for performance at lower engine speeds since you intend to do towing of heavy loads.

Glad you found the site useful Bob. Most of their stuff is bolt-on. There's an O2 sensor mod that takes some wiring. Read the article from the truck magazine that tested the TBI kit.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting the Suburban this week, and getting started on it.

First things first.....I gotta re-do the exhaust. I will eventually install long tube headers, but have picked out a 3" Cat Back system to put on that will match up nicely with the headers.

Then, I'm gonna do a good tune up on it (Plugs, Wires, etc.). If any of you know of some quality performance tune up kits, let me know.

Regarding the T.B.I. - Is there a way to do that "step by step"? In other words, to spread out the $ a bit, is there something that I can do 1st, then in another month, add onto it?

I was looking at that spacer plate. Do the 95 Suburbans come (stock) with a spacer plate, or is that something you add for performance? I would like to do the Spacer Plate, Re-worked T.B.I., Fuel Injectors, etc. from those guys. But, probably can't afford it all at once. What's the best route to take?

Thanks!
Bob

It's not very glamorous but I would start with the adjustable fuel presure regulator and gauge. Read the article on fuel pressure problems. It's important to know that you have proper pressure before you start modding.
