2003 chevy cav had to replace the starter when it died unexpectedly. Brand new part unsure if I bought the right type starter, sounds like its spinning extra fast before the car starts. Advice or comments?
 
Hard to say since you are the only one to hear the problem.
What do you mean you are not sure you bought the correct starter?
Exactly what did you buy?
