speedometer cble

Hi guys,

I have a 64 Nova with a TH350 trans. I need a speedometer cable, but I'm not sure of the correct length. I don't have an old one to go by and all the parts books show a different length. Any help is good. No guessing please.

Not sure how someone is going to answer that question since the 64 never came with a TH350. You cannt measure it using some electric cable as a mock up from the back of the speedo through the firewall and to the driven gear on the trani? They appear to come in the following lengths, 61", 64" 69" and 80" .

Thanks for the reply. I measured from the speedo gear to the firewall pass-through. Came up with 38" With that in mind I guess the shortest cable would work. Trying to make an old race car streetable.
