I have an '03 silverado duramax 2 door. AC works well. But when the fan is in the off position the cab smells moldy. I have found info on the '04 filter replacement but there seems to be no info on the '03 online. IF it even has a filter I cannot find the tray/door under the dash. I found a link that suggested that there was a filter access under the "vent cowling" under the windshield wipers on the exterior of the cab just below the windshield. Before I start removing parts I would like see if I can verify if the '03 has a filter and where it is located.
 
Thank you for that response. However I have seen that video. It is for a '03 Tahoe which is different. There is definitely not a filter door in that area. My 3500 Silverado did not have the kick plate so it was fairly simple to search for the filter door under and behind the glove box. I was hoping to find someone with experience with the specific year and make before consulting the dealer. You know how they are. $$! Plus I just spent $2000 on fuel senders and pump so I'm trying to cut costs!
There may not be a filter I guess. But I don't want to give up so easily! Thanks
