Should I get a 2005 Chevy Cobalt or 2005 VW Beetle?

My mom and i went to a used car place and i wasn't sure which would be a better car for me since i'm only 16

Ok, two sides to this.

I have had good luck with General Motors products. So, the Chevy would be fine.

On the other hand, the VW Beetles have a lot of character to them. I am thinking they are a bit more stylish and would have a better resale value down the road. (In other words, they are a cool car.) Just not real sure about how much you can carry in a tiny Beetle. If you are like me, I am always hauling stuff around in my car, and believe me, the extra room in the larger GM vehicle comes in handy.

if i were u i would get the VW beetle it has more character to it! i mean u see a lot of chevy cobalts on the road. and in the long run the VW will probably be more reliable. and the resale value will be better with the VW. But in the end its ur choice. Good luck!

I take you are a female. In other words, you do not wrench So, with that in mind, the Chev would be the best choice as most of the mechanics around work on domestic cars and don't know squat about foreign makes.
And I avoid the dealer like the plague.
I fix my own, whether it be VW or Honda. Savings a literal ton of cash.
Just a smarter route to take.
