My 3500 Silverado w/454 has a manual trans. L, 1, 2, 3 and R. L is upper left and 1 is lower left. 2 is upper right and 3 is directly below. R is extreme right and low. That is the pattern. I can't move the stick into any other gears other than L and 1. The clutch is fine. There was no noise it just can't shift into 2, 3 or R or even move the stick to that position. I haven't looked underneath yet and pose this question here. What could be causing this problem? Is something blocking my shifting mechanism at the base of the stick or is it something internal? What should I check for? I will look underneath tomorrow but wanted to ask here first right now. Thanks!
