Service Vehicle Soon but NO CHK ENGINE

HELP!!! I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu with 80,000 miles on it. Last month, the CHECK ENGINE light came on and I brought it in and they did a smoke test on it and fixed something. All was good and then it flashed on and off again so I thought it was a sensor because they couldn't find anything else wrong with it. The car runs fine! So the check engine light went off but then today the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON light came on but no other lights are on. What could be the problem? Should I not drive it at all? Is it some big, expensive fix? HELP!!

You can drive the vehicle but you have to take it to a shop that can scan the computer for the code and repair the issue. if you just want to know the code any autozone store can scan it for you.
