For my birthday in December my husband is buying me a new car. I am debating between a 2010 scion tc or a 2010 chevy malibu. I have two kids ages 6 and 3 so I know a 4-door would make it easier to get in and out. But then the tc is a 4 cylinder and the malibu is a v6. I honestly love both. Im 5'4" so I don't know which will be best. I haven't tried them yet but which do you recommend? Thank You for your help..
I forgot to post my age. I am 22.

Malibu is bad quality and Scion is 2 door.

I would ask him about a Subaru Forester. It is a tall wagon so it has 4 doors, an excellent back seat, room for the kid's stuff and costs equal to or less than the Malibu,

Subaru Outback, Legacy, Forester or Impreza would be great for you.

All Subaru have AWD (all wheel drive) standard for safety.

The malibu comes with a 4 cylinder standard and has an available v6 so I say go for the Malibu. It has great fuel economy and is a solid car, having two extra doors with young kids helps a lot.
Something you should know though is that the 2011 scion is different than the 2010 model and is available now, it is restyled with a better powertrain. The 2012 Malibu is getting new styling and upgrades and will be available in late 2011.

I would say the chevy. It is reliable for years to come and has good protection incase of an accident specially that you have small kids. Scion is mostly for people who are in their early 20's. Chevy's for anyone and overall BETTER! My opinion might not matter because at the end of the day your decesions what gonna be chosen at the end of the day.Test drive them both and see which runs better. Good luck!
