i just picked up a '72 nova 4 door from my grandparents and after restoring it i'd like to, if not fully rebuild the engine, at least supercharge it for some extra power until i get enough time to do a full rebuild. It's bone stock as of now and if i dig into it i'd suspect the entire thing just needs grease and fluids to drive.
this will be a winter project and as of now i have lots of time throughout the winter set aside for this.
now for the questions,
what are common trouble spots for rust/broken wires/bad welds/anything that would cause this to become a headache?
what will i need to do to the engine to make it compatible with a supercharger kit?
are there suggested upgrades for the driveline?
any suggested pieces or upgrades for fuel or oil pumps beyond high flow?
is there anything i should be wary of besides the engine and driveline?
and am i missing anything from this list?

also, if anyone has links to websites that sell new and used parts for reasonable prices for a '72 nova could you post them up please? finding parts killed my '63 impala and i'd like that to NOT happen to this one.

without seeing the car and knowing how it was maintained over the years there is no specific pattern of things that can go wrong on a 42 year old car. An engine intended for a supercharger has to be built from the ground up so to speak if you dont want it to blow up. Forged steel crank and connecting rods, forged low compression pistons. Everything has to be carefully assembled to specific clearances for the extra strain that will be imposed on the engine. Look at this site to see how it is properly done www.bigalstoybox.com. IN addition to the engine the transmission and rearend have to be upgraded.
