When I try to lock or unlock the rear door of my 2006 Chevy Suburban with the remote, all it does is click. I can neither lock or unlock it that way. I have the inside panels off and can see the mechanism and can lock or unlock the door by sliding a plastic piece which is in a metal slide. Tried lubrication but to no avail. Any ideas??? Or is it an expensive fix?
Thanks in advance for your help.

check with a voltmeter if the solenoid is getting power, if it is replace the solenoid. If not you have to find a break in the wire harness or an issue with the BCM, body control module.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me where to find the solenoid and the BCM?

If you have the door panel off it is unclear why you dont see the solenoid that activates the lock. Found the BCM on 2002 under driver side instrument panel but cannt be positive on 2006, typically it is under left or right side of instrument panel.
